Life on Mars (2015-2016)

The series «life on mars» is a further attempt to experiment with the theme of Space. The series is the evolution from the known space, or the known preception of space to a surrealistic representation of absurd landscapes. I depict one of the possible lives on a other planet without renouncing to use realistic elements like light effects. The subdivision in small sheets enables the vision that the image continues outside of what is pictured on paper. It also makes it theoretically possible to expand the artwork through time by adding more sheets to the whole. I use the hatching technique. It enables me to increase the dynamics of the coloured surfaces and gives each sheet an individual importance.
